We didn’t make it last year as the weather was very bad, the A39 became blocked due to an accident caused by the snow and ice. This year however, although the weather is cold and wet, we are determined to go.
2 miles road walking later, we arrive just in time to catch the end of the procession,( it started early this year! ). The street is full of visitors being disgorged from the buses, every 20 minutes £5.99 park and ride from Minehead.
Our feasting started with a Cornish pasty ( Crantocks, a bit salty though), we passed a stand selling pork rolls with stuffing and apple sauce £3.50, we shall save that for later. The tithe barn is not far away selling soup and a hotdog £1.oo and £1.50.
Sharing the same room is Johnny Kingdom, kissing all the ladies whilst selling his framed photo’s for £20.00. Around him was some birds of prey, owls and buzzards
